Welcome to some of my selected photos; unfortunately, they don't show as well on a computer screen as they
do as actual proofs - the 'pixel rating' causes the brighter lights to 'smear' and appear less crisp than on a hard copy proof.
In addition to publishing the book and travel articles, Miroer Arts also has a growing portfolio of quality photographs. These
will be changed as time passes.
All photos are take with a Nikon 65 Series auto-focus (the microchip is more accurate than my aging eyes)
and use a standard 28mm-80mm lens or 70mm-300mm telephoto lens. Floral close-ups are from with a macro lens.
While many have thought that the waterfall on the right is in Hawaii, it's actually in the redwood forest
in Northern California just off Hwy 101 between Eureka and Cresent City.
This page is updated on a regular basis and was last updated in May 2006 and features items from a mostly
waterfall photo roadtrip through Oregon with the last two photos in the right column taken at Hacita Head lighthouse and Newport
beach, respectively.
The expanding portfolio is now getting quite a bit of circulation including presentations of framed works
at local coffee shops and an art gallery in the south bay's Willow Glen. In July 2004, I was fortunate to have my work selected
by the Filoli Garden Estates and have joined their group of featured artists; my first items with them appeared at their Summer
2004 photo show. This has been followed with acceptance of several redwood rain forest items by the National Park Service
for use in their tourism publications. In April '06 a series of photos was accepted by California Highways for use in their
line of notecards and postcards.
